Years ago when I was a slip of a girl every little boy and girl would start school with a pump bag. Busy mummies up and down the land would be busy at the start of the new school year making an old curtain or remnant of cloth into an often not so delightful looking draw string bag for their sons and daughters gym kit! I remember some of mine ... ohh not so very pretty and oh so old fashioned! I didn't grow up with a complex but it would have been nice to have one made from pretty fabric and one with my name on it - wow I would have felt special!
Make your own little boy or girl feel special with a personalised pump bag. These bags are all made from top quality quilting fabrics in a variety of novelty prints and come fully personalised with their name. I use 3" high letters (or slightly smaller - if the name is long) and applique them to the bag with a triple blanket stitch.
The inside is fully lined with a coordinating fabric and I add a draw string cord to keep all the contents in place.
I have made lots of these pump bags as gifts and they are always very well received. Teachers also love them because they can identify the owners very quickly!
