When I was a teenager we had a bit of a velvet revival in my neck of the woods and it seemed that every fashion conscious die-hard had a velvet jacket in their wardrobe. My friend had one and I was very envious but I didn't earn enough money working in Mr Beestons local deli to make a velvet jacket - let alone buy one, so I had a good old Crimpolene number instead! Still with wide lapels, nipped in waist and vented back but it was a poor second to Alisons' true velvet number! So, when when I found this gorgeous lilac coloured cotton velvet I just had to buy it. I'm not into velvet jackets mow but a velvet bag - well now thats a different matter!
This bag measures 15" x 15" and has 5"diameter circular black handles. It is lined with a fresh black and white IKEA printed cotton.
and has a very delicate green embroidered 'bird-in-a-tree' design on the bottom right hand corner. This embroidery is very subtle and very understated and makes for a very sophisticated purse.
